What they look for when they come to your center to do an inspection !!  Make sure you have all of these things !!

  • Immunizations within 30 days of Enrollment

  • Emergency Authorization to Center

  • Authorized Pick-up(s)

  • Emergency Contacts

  • Physician Name & Phone Number

  • Hospital Name & Phone Number

  • Pet Authorization (if applicable)

  • Social Security Number

  • Date of Birth

  • Title

  • Date of hire

  • Education

  • First Aid / CPR (all employees)

  • Background Approval

  • TB (every 2 years)

  • Orientation (within 1st 3 months of hire date)

  • Pediatric Head Trauma (renew every 5 years)

  • 15 Annual Training Hours Annually

  • Evaluation / Professional Development

Employee Policy Handbook

Parent / Child Policy Handbook

Parent Involvement Activity (one in the last year)

Staff Meetings (two in last year)

Emergency Preparedness Plan (Annually Updated / Signed / Dated by 12/31 of each year)

Monthly Fire Drills

Quarterly Tornado, Earthquake, and Shelter in Place / Lockdown Drills

Fire Marshall Documentation

Food / Kitchen Permit

Proof of Insurance (with Policy Number, Expiration Date)

General Liability Insurance Policy (minimum $100,000 occurrence)

**Be advised that photographs of the facility or family child care home, including classrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, playgrounds, and any other licensed spaces or areas, may be photographed during the inspection for documentary purposes.
